You are watching: Do digestive biscuits make you poop

They might sound like poop medicine, but anyone with functioning taste-buds could tell you: Chocolate Digestives are the greatest biscuit ever invented by the hand of mankind. The thin layer of chocolate, the crumbly wheatie bit… It is a thing of beauty.

Unfortunately, we’ve all spent our lives eating them upside down like a bunch of complete dipshits: according to manufacturer McVitie’s, the chocolate’s on the bottom, and not on the top as any reasonable mind would assume.

The revelation was discovered by an intrepid UK Redditor, who emailed the company to settle an argument. The response he received would shake the world and its biscuit-contemplating populace to its crumbly core.

“Thank you for your email regarding McVitie’s Chocolate Digestives,” wrote a company spokesperson named Carol Camley. “For your information, the biscuits go through a reservoir of chocolate which enrobes them so the chocolate is actually on the bottom of the biscuits and not on the top. We hope this settles your argument.”

“Witch!”, cried the world. “How can the chocolate be on the bottom? That’s madness! Even the packaging shows the chocolate on top!” And so UK paper The Independent took up the cause last week, pressing the company for more information. “The Independent contacted McVitie’s in the good name of biscuity journalism,” the paper wrote, “who provided further clarification: ‘The McVitie’s stamp is on the other side, which is the top of the biscuit."”

I wonder if Chocolate Digestives taste the same while your brain’s melting from a world thrown into chaos?
